From the Air to the Ground

D&D Holmes offer services to Local Authorities, industry and landowners mainly in the West Midlands and East Wales areas of the UK.

We write procedures for Local Authorities on environmental and public health issues and also publish research & guides on some environmental protection subjects. We currently have available a guide on investigating Statutory Nuisance Mineshafts and have a simple guide to noise and noise measurements.

Our services include:

1) Air Quality Monitoring, The routine operation of ambient outdoor air monitoring stations (Local Site Operators), assistance with short term monitoring exercises and assistance with air quality reviews and assessments

2) Surveys of old mining areas and suspected mining areas to identify openings such as shafts and adits that are not secured against accidental entry and therefore may be statutory nuisances

3) Environmental Noise surveys

4) Nuisance Investigations

5) Inspections of A2 and Part B Permitted Installations under the Environmental Permitting Regulations
